Today, companies implement various innovative management tools, methods, models, and strategies in order to increase their competitive advantage, and thus achieve higher profits. he application of systems for measuring and managing organizational performance is in that direction. In fact, managers need to be constantly provided with accurate information about the performance of activities in the company from many aspects. Exactly because of this need, the implementation and application of performance measurement systems are inevitable. According to empirical research so far, many companies in the world are trying to implement a new or redesign an existing performance measurement system. From the results obtained from the realized research in this field in the Republic of North Macedonia, it can be concluded that a small part of the Macedonian companies have implemented or are familiar with the benefits of the application of a performance measurement system. In that direction, with this research, an attempt was made to contribute in this area for a positive change in such a situation.
