The human soul, the purpose of life, gender and tolerance; The Heavy Butterfly flutters between all offering insights into what our existence might mean and how a soul might exist, in us, in this world, and somewhere beyond. In that awful moment, as Hugh knew his daughter was dying in his arms, he saw her floating on a door on a sea in the clouds. And Amber saw him looking at her. If he saw Amber, he can find her, but Hugh has no plan beyond that simplistic logic. Until a chance encounter with Gerald C. Farer. If he's willing to solve a few puzzles and do exactly as he's instructed, Gerald can help Hugh Mann find his daughter's soul. The Heavy Butterfly weaves a magical, thought-provoking story of loss and redemption. It is other-worldly yet grounded in the eternal theme of a parent's love for a child and a child's need to be understood.
