Marla ha soñado con ser autora de libros bilingües para niños desde hace 20 años cuando empezó su carrera de maestra. Está muy entusiasmada por compartir su primer libro con otros maestros, padres y niños. Ella tiene bachillerato en educación parvulario y español, y maestría en currículo e instrucción y educación bilingüe/inglés como segundo idioma. Marla empezó el programa de lenguaje dual para el distrito de Waukesha en 2009. Creyendo en la belleza y magia de aprender más de un idioma, escribió éste libro en español e inglés. Ella espera que ¿Quién es? anime a las familias a compartir sus fotos y buenos recuerdos. Marla vive en Wauwatosa, WI con su esposo, Terrence y sus hijas y le encanta tejer, leer, bailar y cocinar. Marla has had the dream to write bilingual children's books since she first started teaching over 20 years ago and is so excited to be sharing her first book with other teachers, parents and children. She has bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood & Elementary Education and Spanish, and a master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction and Bilingual/ESL Education. Marla started the Dual Language program in the School District of Waukesha in 2009 and believes in the beauty and magic of language learning, which is why she wrote this book in both Spanish and English. She hopes that Who's That? will encourage families to look at their own photos together and share memories. Marla lives in Wauwatosa, WI with her husband, Terrence and their daughters and enjoys knitting, reading, dancing and cooking.
