Produktbeschreibung
Calling into the Dark describes a range of experiences, both inner and outer, with loving appreciation for the colorful complexity of life and relationships. It expresses a warmth and richness of feeling-sometimes with wry detachment, sometimes with tenderness and poignancy. This collection of Martha Orton's most recent poems takes the reader on a gentle journey of observation and reflection."Meditative, compassionate, and wise, Martha Orton's poetry is healing verse."Matt Zoller Seitz"The voice you'll hear in Calling into the Dark is that of a gentle soul searching for the grace notes waiting to be found in both the ordinary moments of life and the more difficult moments when we're tested by loss, doubt, and the unexpected. You won't find Martha Orton taking easy refuge in either irony or hope as she navigates the events and relationships in her life; what you will find in this fine collection is a poet with the courage to question, to persevere, and to be grateful for even the smallest of gifts."Jeff Coomer
