The effectiveness of a school-based cognitive behavioral program in analyzing the relationship of anger and social skill behaviors in a small sample of 9-12 year old students is evaluated. Eighty students in grades four, five, and six completed a 12-week anger intervention program. The Children s Inventory of Anger and the Social Skills Rating System were used as the pretest and posttest. Pearson s coefficient correlation paired samples and unpaired samples t-test was used to evaluate the correlation s and possible significant differences between pretest and posttest scores. Results and limitations of the research design are discussed and recommendations for additional research are provided.
