A well known Canadian potter has written a funny, quirky memoir which stretches from before TV to digital cameras. She underscores the funny side of what might have meant disaster in a family with an alcoholic father in the forties and fifties. On a visit to The Soviet Union, the trip leader bent all the spoons from the kitchen, Uri Geller style. Also included are amusing trips to Spain, Baffin Island and Costa Rica.
