A Letter to Ellen is a first hand account of Grandfather Thomas Jefferson remincing about his writing the Declaration of Independence. Fifty years earlier Jefferson had a portable writing box made which he carried with him for many miles and ensuing years. An unfortunate accident was the catalyst which resulted in his giving this precious relic to his beloved granddaughter.

Autorenporträt
The author was a teacher and librarian as well as a program coordinator for a state geography alliance. She continues to be a life-long learner and relishes delving into history via original documents. What started as a graduate course assignment in 1963 has finally found it way to the printing press as a senior's bucket-list item. (Perservance has always been her modus operandi.)
