MaryFriend Carter had a lifelong dream of being a wife and a mother. For thirty-one years, she dedicated her life to her daughter, Kimberley, who had multiple disabilities, a keen mind, and a contagious sense of humor and laughter. They traveled to nineteen states, making memories and meeting new friends. She is now married to the love of her life, Kelby Carter, a retired banker and missionary. They hold weekly Bible studies in their home and serve as teachers in their home fellowship. MaryFriend holds a PhD from Florida State University in Social Studies Education. After forty years teaching at five universities, she retired as emeritus professor from Walden University. During her career she was awarded multiple exemplary teaching awards. She is recognized as a gifted Bible teacher and educator, speaker, and author. One of her gifts is to draw profound spiritual insights from life's ordinary experiences. Through personal experiences of triumphs over life's challenges, she shares God's abundant love, mercy, and grace that He has for all of us.
