Moreover,Beckett challenges the common function of language as a means of communication in order to get beyond the limitations of language. The concept of time in Beckett shows his radical departure from the familiar techniques of theatre. In Waiting for Godot and Endgame, Beckett tries to stop the time by making the passage of time too slow to be felt at all.

Marzieh Keshavarz was born in Shiraz, Iran in 1982. Her field of study is English Literature. She has received her B.A degree in 2006 and M.A degree in 2010.She is currently working as an English teacher at the university. Her areas of interest include metatheatre in general and Samuel Beckett's literary works in particular.
