McKea Cooper-Miller was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and began writing in the 5th grade. She graduated from Wayne State University and has a Master's in Education from Marygrove College. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and enjoys writing in her spare time. McKea has been teaching for over 18 years and willingly devotes her time to her family, her non-profit and pursing her dream of becoming a published children's author.
