There are six chapters in this book. Chapter one is the introductory chapter describes the background as well as the aims and objectives of this research. Chapter two reviews the literature and discussed those through the evolution of the climate change adaptation agenda, concerns of adaptation, possible adaptive responses, adoption of new technologies and adaptation to climate change with barriers to adaptation in agriculture. Furthermore, a conceptual framework is also developed there for this research. Chapter three gives a brief contextual understanding through socio-economic conditions, and the key environmental stresses to climate change faced by both Bangladesh and the Rajshahi district where the research is based on. Chapter four describes the research methodology employed in this research. In chapter five the findings of this study are discussed in accordance with the research questions set in chapter one. Chapter six summarises the research findings and draws a general conclusion. It also draws relevant lessons and some recommendations. The chapter ends by acknowledging its limitation and some further areas of research.

Md. Atiqul Islam was born in 1977 at Rajshahi in Bangladesh. He obtained first grade results in B.A. Honours and M.A. in Economics. He also secured MSc. in Risk, Disaster and Environmental Management from University of Huddersfield, UK.Mr. Islam is working now as Assistant Professor in Economics Department at Rajshahi University, Bangladesh.
