The book deals with some of the problems of nonlinear structures. Nowadays, the nonlinear phenomena on dust-ion-acoustic (DIA) waves in a dusty plasma with superthermal electrons is a topic of great interest. In this book, a rigorous theoretical investigation has been made on nonlinear propagation of DIA waves in a dusty plasma composed of negatively charged immobile dust, inertial ions, and inertialess superthermal (kappa distributed) electrons with two distinct temperatures. The reductive perturbation technique has been used in order to derive the standard Korteweg-de Vries (K-dV), modified K-dV (mK-dV), standard Gardner (SG), modified Gardner (mG), and Burgers equations (BE). The properties of different nonlinear structures, viz. solitary waves (SWs), shock waves, and double layers (DLs) are systematically investigated. The basic features and the underlying physics of the DIA SWs, DLs, and shock waves, which are relevant to space dusty plasmas (viz. Saturn inner and outer magnetosphere, pulsar magnetosphere etc.), have been pin-pointed and discussed in this book.
