Phase reversal and single phasing are very frequent problem in our country. A 3-phase motor does not start if any one phase fails. If phase reversal occurs then the motor will rotate in the reverse direction of the original direction. If a generator is connected with the motor shaft ,then the generator brush or slip ring will be damaged. For many other industrial applications we need to rotate motors in a definite direction only. In this project, a very simple automatic phase sequence corrector with single phasing preventer is designed.
