The study was conducted at Gazipur Sadar Upazila of Gazipur District. An interview schedule was used to collect needed information through face to face interview. One hundred and twenty one respondents were selected from seven female village organizations on the basis of cluster sampling. Statistical measurements like frequency count, percentage, range, mean, standard deviations were used to interpret the data. Coefficient of correlation was computed in order to explore the relationships between the selected variables.

Md. Matiul Islam was born on Sept. 23, 1980 in Kushtia district of Bangladesh. He obtained B.Sc.Ag.(Hons.) from Khulna University, Khulna and MS in Agr. Ext. & Rur. Dev. from BSMRAU, Gazipur in 2003 and 2005 respectively. He is serving (on study leave) as Assistant Professor in Khulna University. He is now studying PhD in Saga University of Japan.
