The author was born in 1970 in East Gojjam Zone, Debrework (Safeqda Qusquam) town, Ethiopia, to his mother Gojjam Assemu and his father Firew Worku. He attended his primary and secondary education in Debrework Elementary and secondary school. He received his BEd degree from Bahir Dar teachers' college and his MA from Addis Ababa university.
