Melinda Tyler's story is one of triumph over adversity. A survivor of childhood sexual abuse, after leaving home for the angry punk rock scene, she became involved in the sex industry. She eventually hit a tough bottom, left the sex business, and earned both undergraduate and advanced degrees in psychology. Melinda's unique background gives her a rare perspective on high and low ends of the sex industry, as well as those who fall prey to its allure. Her personal experiences, as well as her training in psychology helped in creating The Purified. Melinda and her husband divide their time between Boston and San Francisco. She is working on The Deceived, the second novel in the Montana Wylde mystery series.
