(A portion of net proceeds will be donated to animal rescue!) Learn money management strategies that will expedite and ease your journey toward financial freedom. Smart Bitch Dumb Dog is the first money management/personal finance book to use humor and man's best friend in a short story about overcoming financial struggles to reach financial freedom. This easy-to-read, full color business fable follows the lives of two golden retrievers as they make financial decisions at various stages of life. Both Bella and Sherman reach financial freedom, but they take very different paths on their journey. Sherman is raised by a high pedigree family with little understanding of money management. Sherman's parents live behind a façade of wealth while they accumulate large sums of debt. They do not have the ability to teach Sherman how to make good financial choices. In fact, they demonstrate poor money management skills around every corner. Sherman follows in their paw prints and finds himself belly deep in debt with a checking account that is bone dry. He accumulates credit card and student loan debt while partying his way through six years of college. Sherman makes many poor choices during his young adult life which makes his journey down the path of financial freedom challenging. The smart bitch, Bella, learns financial concepts at every stage of her life and in the end, reaches financial freedom with ease. Bella's mom sheds light on many sound financial practices. Bella learns to spend less than she makes and to prioritize her spending. She budgets her money and develops a strategy for getting ahead in life by investing money at a young age. Bella minimizes her college (career training) expenses and minimizes her student loan debt. While in college, Bella takes a personal finance class that sheds light on various topics including: credit scores, debt management, credit cards, savings, investing, health insurance, benefits planning, bankruptcy, retirement savings, stocks, bonds, index funds, mutual funds, life insurance, mortgage loans, PMI, escrow accounts, 529 plans, Social Security, Medicare, and reverse mortgages. Bella learns the importance of spending less than you make, practicing delayed gratification, and developing a strategy for no longer trading hours for dollars.Millions of adults experience difficulty with managing their finances. While there are many money management self-help books in existence, many are difficult to understand and laborious to read. This lighthearted story incorporates financial strategies appropriate to various stages of life using a tone that is easy to understand and incorporate in your life. This story will leave you feeling motivated and empowered to take steps toward financial freedom. After all, if Sherman can dig his way out the financial mess he is in, you can too! It is never too late to start making financial choices that will bring peace to your life. In other words, you can teach an old dog new tricks!
