Autorenporträt
Melissa Clay Reissmann is an author and illustrator from Wausau, Wisconsin. She loves working with different materials, but specializes in watercolor illustrations and digital drawings. Since she was a child, Melissa has used her imagination to keep herself occupied, creating drawings, sculptures, and everything in between. Her greatest inspiration came from the book, Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. His ability to immerse the reader through visual storytelling inspired her to develop her own creative ideas.Melissa attended Minnesota State University, Mankato where she received a BFA with an emphasis in painting. She earned her Masters of Art Education from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Melissa has been an art educator at D.C. Everest Senior High School since 2004.
