Autorenporträt
Mercy Rethna, born in 1993 in Tiruchirappalli, India, is a software developer and an aspiring author. Growing up in a conservative South Indian family, she was always driven to step beyond her familiar surroundings and discover new worlds. She pursued a Masters in Computer Applications. While working in IT, she learned about a volunteering opportunity in Germany and, after many rejections, eventually succeeded. Every day in Germany was a learning experience and a struggle to balance her own culture with the new one. Inspired, she wrote an autobiography to empower aspiring expats and women hesitant to step out of their bubble. While living and working in Dresden, Germany, she enjoys her hobbies: offering Indian dance workshops, singing in a gospel choir, and participating in LARP events and more!
