Michael Hoerger is a freelance graphic designer and independent researcher. Mia Partlow is a writer who works in radio. They are the authors of The Curious Case of the Communist Jell-o Box and Edible Secrets. Nate Powell is a New York Times best-selling graphic novelist born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1978. His work includes March, the graphic novel autobiography of Congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis; Rick Riordan's The Lost Hero, Any Empire, Swallow Me Whole, The Silence Of Our Friends, and The Year Of The Beasts. His work has received a Robert F. Kennedy Book Award, an Eisner Award, two Ignatz Awards, a Coretta Scott King Author Honor Award, four YALSA Great Graphic Novels For Teens selections, and has been nominated for a total of eight Eisner Awards, a Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and a Glyph Comics Award. In 2011, Powell discussed his work at the United Nations alongside some of the world's foremost writers of young adult fiction. He lives in Bloomington, IN where he plays in a punk band.
