Michael Byman lives in Virginia with his wife and children.

He has leveraged his lifelong interest in history into "Barabbas", a novel about the life of Barabbas. The mob demanded that Pontius Pilate release the criminal Barabbas and condemn the innocent Jesus of Nazareth. Who was Barabbas and why was he in a Roman prison on the first Good Friday? "Barabbas" is true to the historic record, where a record exists, and presents a plausible fictional backstory when no details are known.
