MICHAELENE CONNER, CPT, Wellcoaches, ACSM, AFAA and DETC Wellcoach-Personal Trainer Michaelene Conner, holds a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Human Ecology and how it affects the human condition. Conner also holds a Wellcoaching certification degree through Wellcoaches and the American College of Sports Medicine. She has received postgraduate training and continuing education in the area of change management, STOTT's Pilates, Titleist Performance Institute, physical training, post rehab, weight management and sports nutrition. Wellcoaching provides Conner's clients the ability to redefine their thinking, which is composed of a lifetime of beliefs, behaviors, and assumptions in relationship to "how" they live their lives. Conner tends to take more of an action and results oriented approach. She says that the difference between life coaching and therapy is that psychotherapy is about helping people heal their wounds and life coaching is about helping people achieve their vision of happiness or life satisfaction, whether they're wounded or not. Conner provides her clients with a powerful thinking strategy for engaging life change and its challenges. It is Conner's belief that the mind and body is one unit, and therefore should be thought of and trained as one unit. She believes most individuals intellectually want to commit to get fit or change poor habits. Yet, few will do it...few will sustain it...and few will survive the newness long enough to make a difference in their lives.
