"Through the Zajur's Siesta Town Children's Cultural Show, the performance included learning about the traditions of Latin culture, some Spanish, and the story of the true meaning of breaking a piata. The story became so popular that they wrote this book so children everywhere could enjoy it! Lisa Zajur is an educator and cultural trainer with a degree in early childhood education, specializing in curriculum design, communications, and leadership. She owned and operated her own bilingual preschool, where she began creating systems of learning to increase language retention with the students enrolled. The teaching methods contained a whole-brain approach to learning a second language, engaging the right and left sides of the brain simultaneously. Realizing the need for adults to learn Spanish for their careers, she applied these same teaching methods and developed the Awaken the Spanish Within Language and Cultural Training programs, which focus on understanding the Hispanic culture
