The Helmholtz International Summer School ”HEAVY QUARK PHYSICS” was held at the Bogoli-ubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of the Joint Institute of Nuclear Physics JINR, Dubna, Moscowregion, in the period August 11 – 21. 2008. This school is a continuation of a series of workshops onheavy quark physics held in Dubna (1993, 1996, 2000), Bad Honnef (1994), Rostock (1997) and theHelmholtz-JINR School held in Dubna in 2005.
