An ever-increasing demand for energy along with the risks of global warming motivated human beings to implement green and renewable energy resources. One of the most available sources with a considerable amount of accessible energy potential is our sun. Converting the solar beams to heat energy is one of the primary ways among several ones proposed to use the solar energy. Within the last few years, porous materials are proposed to enhance the thermal performances of heat exchangers used in solar energy harvesting plants. Since understanding the thermal response of such systems are mandatory to enhance their operations, hence, the present book aims at investigating the role of porous materials in heat transfer applications arose in such solar heat receivers.
Autorenporträt
Dehghan, MaziarMaziar Dehghan received his BSc (Mechanical Engineering) and MSc (Energy Conversion) from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2008 and 2011 and his PhD (Energy Conversion) from Semnan University in 2016. His research interests are fluid mechanics and convection heat transfer, especially in porous media and at micro-scales.
