However, these changes seem to ignore the rich architectural heritage of the region, especially Islamic architecture, to replicate the same western building forms and concepts. This book discusses the current state of Arab contemporary architecture, then reviews computational design as an innovative design tool, highlights its potentials to revisit regional architecture in a contemporary manner, Evaluates various regional case studies, then concludes a design framework to achieve balance between the three design dimensions (Computation, Sustainability, and Regionalism).
