The book 'Local Perspectives in Vegetation Resources Management' is based on intuitive knowledge of the people of Maradi-Katsina border region on Niger and Nigeria. It focuses on issues relating to the techniques of vegetation resources management of the area from the perspectives of local managers. The work is richly qualitative and the data shows the efforts of the people to protect and conserve vegetation in an already marginal environment of West Africa. It is divided into five chapters each of which is rich in wide aspects of the topic as well as the study area.
