Spontaneous physical housing changes are transformation practices where house owners carried out alterations, extensions, modifications or additions to the original patterns of their houses, including the immediate environment in an unorganised manner without recourse to how the transformation impacts on the urban residents.

The Author started his education career at the First Baptist Transfer Primary School (Dogon Bauchi LEA), Sabon Gari, Zaria between 1970-1977. He proceeded to famous Government College, Kaduna between 19977-1982. After is first degree, he had is M.Tech(Architecture) and PhD in 1998 and 2017 respectively from Federal University of Technology, Minna.
