The research work on toxicity of insecticides against Adults of red flour beetle, Tribolium castaneum was conducted in Post Graduate Lab at Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan during 2004. Adults were collected from Multan and reared on whole meal flour and yeast mixture containing 95% flour and 5% yeast. Adults were sieved 72 hours after the exposure of insects to the whole meal flour. The collected sample containing the eggs of same age and wheat flour was placed in incubator at 30+ 2 C. Ten days old insects were exposed for the various insecticidal treatments including proclaim 0.19 EC, Match 050 EC, Milyan 20EC, Es-Fenvalerate 5EC, Actara 25 WG, Wehelo 2.5 EC and cypermethrin 10EC. Serial dilutions of the stock solution were made in acetone. Insecticide solution was put in four Petri dishes equally i,e in each replication the residual film was made after drying of the solution with acetone. The total of 10 insects were exposed in each Petri dish and mortality was recorded after 24 hours. The order of toxicity was proclaim cypermethrin = Welhelo = Es-Fenvalerate Maliyan Match Actara. Proclaim could be alternative to malathion due to its high toxicity to T. castaneum
