Rather than offering a rigorously edited version of Fisk's manuscript, which contains an extensive coursebook on the Moroccan Darija (Moroccan Arabic) that was in all probability written in the forties of the second millennium, this book is a mere reproduction of it that would hopefully make it accessible to a general public. By publishing our version of this rare manuscript, we wish to inspire the scholars who are interested in the recent history of the Moroccan Darija, linguists and comparative linguists to reproduce a more scholarly version of the original manuscript and investigate its contents with the scrutiny it deserves as a precious documentation of the linguistic state of the Moroccan Darija one century ago.
