Nnamdi Christiantus Ekwom was born on 25 October 1971, he joined the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1991 and was comissioned as a Sub Lieutenant in 1996. He holds a BSc in Physics and 2 Masters Degree; Maritime Transport Management and Masters in Strategic Studies. He was the Executive Officer that sailed the Nigerian Navy Ship OKPABANA(flag ship) from the United States to Nigerian in 2015. He commanded the ship in 2018 and earned the Command-at-Sea-Badge award. He is currently the Nigerian Defence Adviser at the Nigerian High Commission in Younde Cameroon.
