The hypothesis of the master's thesis is that based on a comprehensive study of the scientific literature on hiding data on various substrates, it is possible to determine the key factors on which the amount of embedded data depends. To what extent the implementation of embedding algorithms makes it possible to scientifically substantiate the information embedding system on various substrates and to evaluate the effectiveness of embedding. The scientific novelty of the master's dissertation lies in the fact that the basics of hiding data in a specific file format of the Windows operating system are investigated, which meets modern problems of data and file protection in connection with information threats associated with the development of the global computer network and the emergence of cloud technologies.
