This dissertation is about the structure of thought. By 'thought' I don't mean a particular event of thinking, but rather an aspect of the content expressed by such an event. In particular, by 'thought' I mean the sort of content relevant to determining whether an assertion (or event of thinking, utterance, sentence, etc.) is true or false.
