This research was undertaken to investigate the anticariogenic property of the biomemetic restorative materials i.e, Fuji VII, Amalgomer CR and Heliomolar in the cavosurface margins. Fusion alloy was used as control and 40 extracted sound human teeth were restored with the above mentioned restorative materials; and were exposed to caries activating solution in the laboratory condition for 12 weeks duration. All the teeth were then sectioned to 100-150 micrometer thickness and were examined under transmission light microscope to measure the length and depth of Outer Surface Lesion (OSL) and…mehr

All the teeth were then sectioned to 100-150 micrometer thickness and were examined under transmission light microscope to measure the length and depth of Outer Surface Lesion (OSL) and Wall Lesion (WL) in cervical and coronal regions. The data were statistically analyzed with Kruskul-Wallis Test (H) and Mann-Whitney U test (Z), to rank the anticariogenic efficacy of the test materials as follows: Amalgomer CR Fuji VII Heliomolar Fusion Alloy. Thus concluding the demineralization inhibition efficacy of Amalgomer CR as very highly significant and was followed by Fuji VII, Heliomolar and least exhibited by Fusion Alloy.
