A range of cultivars and lines of soft wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) as well as one species of wild wheat. Three parental genotypes representing major wheat cultivars harvested in Egypt and Kazakhstan. Field research was carried out under conditions of Egypt and Kazakhstan throughout three vegetative periods (Kazakhstan, 2007; Egypt, 2007; Kazakhstan, 2008). Morphological characteristics of chosen wild, domesticated and hybrid wheats (F1 and F2); mid-parents heterosis; degree of heritability; molecular genetic characteristic of parents; effect of salt concentrations on wheat parents and their hybrids during germination; grains protein patterns; input of peroxidase enzyme in salt tolerance and effect of Triton on productivity of Egyptian wheat cultivars. The results of present dissertational work may be implied as a material for breeding programmes aimed at obtaining new genetic resources; for obtaining the data on genetic diversity at initial hybridization steps to effective breeding; the results of present dissertation provide for stock database and a set of research measures to conduct further analysis of biochemical and genetic bases for wheat salt tol
