Aim was to assess the effect of acupressure wristband on reducing the symptoms of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Design, a quasi experimental design. Setting was antenatal clinic at El Manial Maternity Hospital-Cairo University. Sample, a simple random sample of 200 pregnant women were recruited for this research according to the following criteria: age not exceed 35 years old, singleton pregnancy; not exceeding gravid 4, suffer from nausea and vomiting , free from medical disorder, gestational age 4th weeks gestation. Tools, data were collected by applying two tools developed by the researcher the first was structured interview and the second was nausea and vomiting assessment and follow up. Results indicated that, no statistically significant differences between both groups were found in relation to Personal characteristics. The age range was18-35 years old with mean of 25.46±4.79 years in the acupressure wristband group and 25.18±4.83 years in the antiemetic drugs group.
