Ruth Thompson, Teacher & Motivational Speaker _________________ Dr. Nadia Boctor has earned several degrees including M.A. from The American University in TEFL, and Ph.D. from the International Bible College and Seminary in Missouri, in Biblical Studies. She served as a senior teacher of Christian Education, and the English Language in high schools in Egypt. She also taught English in the American University in Cairo. At Zagazig University in Egypt, she taught English Literature and trained college students for the profession of teaching. As a professor, Dr. Boctor taught the Arabic Language and Middle Eastern Culture and Area Studies at the Language Institute in Monterey, California, as well as Diagnostic Evaluation Specialist, to enhance the Arabic speaking skills of American students. Born to an evangelical pastor, the late Rev. Guirguis Habeel, she grew up actively involved in the church. She wrote monthly articles in the San Francisco Christian magazine "Al Manara". She presented several workshops to students and teachers, including her co-presentation at the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) in Washington D.C. in 2001. She was also the speaker on the Book of Revelation to women from the Middle East, at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California.
