Julia Kelly has always been content living on her family's quiet farm in the mountains of New Hampshire. That is, until her mother dies while giving birth to her brother, Alfred. Suddenly, Julia's world turns on end. While still recovering from loss, Julia feels betrayed when her dad marries the infant's nurse Blanche, hires the McGraths to run the farm, and sends her away to the Kimball Academy for Girls. There, Julia is thrust into the unfamiliar world of high society while being groomed for marriage. Torn between two worlds, Julia decides to leave the farm behind where DJ McGrath, frustrating and sarcastic, is the man she can't seem to forget, to fall into the arms of Jonathan Ashcroft, educated and wealthy, but hiding a dark secret. Set in the 1920s, Julia's values and identity are tested as she navigates her way through gala balls, speakeasies, and the one night she can't take back. A Day To Remember is perfect for anyone who loves to get swept up in a good romance. It features strong women, fallible characters, and their struggles to find where they belong and needing God's redemption and forgiveness to do it. It is a story of hope and happy endings!

Autorenporträt
Nancy E. Haack grew up in a small town in Connecticut and it's in an only slightly larger small town that she and her husband have raised their two daughters. After studying Graphic Design and English Literature in college, she works as a freelance children's illustrator and assists high school students with their writing. Belonging to a writers group for many years, she credits its members for pushing her to write more and better. But it's her over 35 years of marriage that have taught her about true romance, the goodness of God and finding inspiration in the everyday.
