Freeing the Wild in the Child shares an approach for healing childhood trauma affecting children and adults. This approach focuses on helping regain our innate resilience and aliveness. It demonstrates that guiding children to reconnect with their small bodies, feel their impulses, and express themselves safely can also help them connect with friends and family with joy and exuberance in the present. As both a memoir and a clinical presentation, this book is accessible to parents, teachers, caregivers, as well as clinicians. It was written at the urging of Frank Hladky MD, a renowned bioenergetics therapist and trainer who was also the author's healer, teacher and friend for over 30 years. Frank always believed in the work with kids.
