Illustrious Da Poet is a mother, nurturer, poet, and self-love disciple. Growing up in the '80s and '90s in Florida, she is the eldest of seven siblings. Illustrious discovered her love for writing at the tender age of nine (that's when nine became her favorite number). Due to extraordinary situations that she endured as a child, she started empathetically writing her thoughts and emotions for therapeutic purposes in her diary, which later evolved into poetry. Illustrious discovered that her hunger for writing her expressions, prayers, wishes, and reflective moments were granted by God. Inspired by her powerful, intuitive motivations to speak her truth from her life experiences by painting on canvases with her words, her poetry and storytelling became part of her self-proclaimed healing. She became living poetry, which allowed her to rise from the ashes to a solid, higher elevation. She discovered that her mind is her greatest asset.
