Utilizing the hyposthesis of Charles Hapgood's "The Earth's Shifting Crust", the scientific fact that an ice cap had formed over Sweden 10,000 years ago, and the archeological statement that the human race began populating Europe at this time, this would have forced the population south which is the point where the story begins. Taking the myth of the Sanskrit writing in the east of a horrendous war, a family escapes to the west which eventually meets the northern people in a heroic effort for survival.

Autorenporträt
Born into the Great Depression on 10/20/29 at Indianapolis, Indiana and grew up on the shores of Lake Superior. Finished schooling at Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, moved downstate to Madison and associated with students of the University of Wisconsin where the idea of Before the Dawn was born. Fifty plus years later he put the story to type. Neal Fisher has worked as a ditch-digger, order-clerk, chef, grease monkey, steward on the high seas, salesman, and art dealer, among a few of his jobs. Now retired, he is realizing his dream of writing and painting. He firmly believes he has a muse (garden variety), that directs his prose.
