As energy plays a central role in the world development, it represents as well a major challenge for sustainable development. It is important to remember that saving lighting energy is worthless if the occupants cannot perform visually in the space. After all, simply specifying fewer lamps and lower light levels will save energy and meet the standard, but the detrimental effect on occupant performance will likely outweigh the energy savings. Lighting energy considers as a very important in energy sectors, because it shows around 25-30% of the total electrical energy, that is make the manufacturers of lighting equipments, lighting designers and illumination engineers to developing and publishing a lot of research in this field. This technical report tried to concentrate the light on modern lighting technologies in uplamping sector for energy saving and explain the existing scenario in Indian industries and offices lighting. The result shows that by the samples taken the energy consumption reduced by applying uplamping solutions to be less about 35-42% with fluorescent lamps, and to 65-75% with CFL replacement. With energy conservation we could increase also the quality of the light
