Autorenporträt
- Neil Seidel has been a professional guitarist since the age of nine. He enjoyed a successful musical career as lead guitarist for the hit rock group Gary Lewis and the Playboys and the critically acclaimed World Music band Shanti (Atlantic Records). He was a sought after studio musician and record producer, and continues to make music to this day. - Neil obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from California State University, Los Angeles. He was awarded a Lifetime Community College Credential and later held teaching positions at Los Angeles City College, Cal State University, Dominquez Hills, and Loyola Marymount University, teaching Pop & Jazz Guitar and "The Business of The Recording Industry". Settling a complicated estate when his father passed away unexpectedly in 1989, Neil found himself at the helm of a team of attorneys, accountants and book keepers. The resulting probate proceedings took several years to finalize. The experience created the inspiration to write this book. Neil has two daughters and two granddaughters and resides with his wife in Palm Springs, California and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
