After a shock diagnosis on the tarmac in Los Angeles after a long-haul flight from Australia, mother of two Nicole McMahon was diagnosed with breast cancer. An invisible tumour that had evaded all conventional tests. With no family history and having had several tests, it came as a shock. Catching the same plane home, Nicole shares her journey from diagnosis, mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation as she battles the impact of the tumour that was 7cm by the time it was found. She hopes by providing a raw and honest account of her, experience, hopes and fears she can help in a small way those impacted by breast cancer or their friends and family. She hopes to use her experience to raise awareness on early diagnosis.
