This study intended to analyze the research presented in several curriculum and instruction congresses in Turkey to identify the tendencies in the field. To this end, it used the survey model. Document analysis, a qualitative research technique, was used to collect data. A total of 935 studies presented in three national and one international curriculum and instruction congress conducted in Turkey were analyzed. Of these, 107 were full texts, and 828 were abstracts. Then, content analysis was carried out. The analysis of the sample also demonstrated that few of them are directly related to curriculum development. The study finally highlights the importance of clearly explaining the methodology, data collection, and data analysis strategies under the relevant headings, organizing the abstracts in a way to reflect the structure of the study for higher quality research, and further expanding the field by increasing the number of studies conducted and shared in curriculum and instruction congresses.
