Three primary schools within Amathole District were used in the study. Three step data analysis process suggested by Steinberg was utilized as outlined in the study. The study found out that the right to education is enriched and protected in a number of human rights instruments nationally, regionally and internationally. Apart from being protected in the Constitution, the right to education is also guaranteed in a number of other laws and policies in South Africa.

Mr. Nyika Machenjedze obtained his first qualifications from the University of Fort Hare South Africa, Bachelor of Social Work with Cum Laude 2006 and successfully completed his Masters in Human Rights in 2007, and Honours in Development Studies 2008. He is currently completing his second Masters in Public Health at the University of South South.
