The studies were at monitoring of fluoride concentrations in the ground, surface water, soil, food and biochemical samples collected from fluoride affected area district of Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was also envisaged to carry out investigations on the removal of fluoride from aqueous phase by biosorption using prepared algal (spirogyra Sp-IO1, Spirogyra Sp I02) and to evaluate adsorption kinetics, mass transfer phenomenon and design details.
