Produktbeschreibung
This book encapsulates varied narratives; craft; and, interior-architecture based research conducted by the author over past eight years, and deals with her quest to decode the relationship between Interior-Architecture (space-making crafts) and Narratives (as a communicative system). The motivation for such a pursuit was primarily guided by her natural interest in space-making crafts, and further strengthened by the observation that not much effort had been made in the past to discuss the narrative framework within the structure of these crafts (interior-architecture), although remarkable work has been done on symbolism in architecture, semiotics of architecture and storytelling in buildings. Equipped with a generic understanding of interior-architecture; narratives; and, space-making crafts, based on the available definitions; theories; types such as textual, spatial, visual, oral; manifestations such as poetic or literary; modes; and other aspects such as formal, structuralist, and poststructuralist, the author pursued her interest with an aim to bridge the possibly missing perspectives linking the narrative framework within the structure of crafts.
