Born in Colorado, Soul Singh prevailed through many trials and tribulations as a ward of the state. The product of abuse and neglect, Soul'd love for reading gave her insight and motivation to move beyond her life circumstances. After graduating high school with honors, Soul attended the University of Texas in Austin, earning her bachelor's degree in Sociology. She served as a community caseworker with a non-profit organization that provided mentoring services for at-risk youth. Soul began her teaching career in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. After earning her Master's of Education degree from Prairie View A&M, she became a Special Education Administrator and then a High School Assistant Principal. In 2019 she was named the Director for the Maybelline Carpenter Center, a therapeutic education program. She is a motivational speaker, author, an educational consultant and advocate. Her greatest accomplishment is raising her two remarkable children and recently marrying her soulmate, Virgil.
