These documents presuppose the creation of up-to-date textbooks, introduction of the advanced methods of teaching with use of modern pedagogical, information and communication technologies into the education system and training specialists with adequate language skills. The manual is ment for the students who going to become teachers of English and is written in easy-to-understand terms and is based on the literary type of the English pronunciation, it can be used at lessons in practical phonetics, at seminars in theoretical phonetics and as materials for independent work of students in phonetics.

Head of the Department of Theoretical Aspects of English, professor of the Andijan State Institute of Foreign Languages S.Solijonov was born in the Andijan region in 1946, November 25. After graduating from the secondary school, he immediately entered the faculty of foreign languages of the ASPIL and successfully finished it in 1968.
